Welcome to elleSAT!
elleSAT specializes in working with
neurodiverse and non-traditional
law school applicants.
Our Story
Women, on average, score lower than men on the LSAT, even though they earn higher GPAs in college. There’s a pronounced difference between the number of men and women scoring above 170 on the LSAT too.
Most commercially available LSAT study material is created by men. Could this be a contributing factor to this persistent gender gap? We wondered. So, we started elleSAT: a women-led tutoring company founded by and for first-generation, minoritized, and low-income students.
Every tutor on this site is an independent professional, hand-selected for their knowledge of the LSAT and proven commitment to diversifying the legal profession by providing affordable, inclusive, customized learning experiences for a broad array of students.
While we enjoy working with students of all identities and backgrounds, we approach the LSAT from an unapologetically femme perspective that frequently resonates with people who identify as women. After transitioning to law school, we are proud that elleSAT continues to connect aspiring law students with industry-leading independent tutors.

Meet the Tutors
TK, 174, $99/hr
($60/hr w/ LSAT fee waiver)
TK loves to show her students how easy the LSAT could become and inspire them to love it as much as she does. Starting from a diagnostic score of 148, TK studied for the LSAT while working full-time and scored 174 on her official LSAT. She understands what it takes to coach her students to the next score band and unleashes their full potential. TK tailors each session to her students’ needs and progress.
As a first-generation college student, TK knows the power of a strong supporting network, especially in conquering the LSAT. That’s why she loves to be the most avid cheerleader for all her students on their LSAT and law school admission journey.

Founders Emeritus
Meet the Founders
Anita Kinney, 177, $120/hr
Anita worked full-time at a leading management consulting company while studying for the LSAT and applying to law school. She raised her score from the low 140s to 177 in just over three months and was admitted to two T14 law schools with over $300,000 in scholarships. She has a true appreciation for the LSAT because it allowed her to overcome her underwhelming college performance, and she views the test as an equalizer for other nontraditional and underrepresented students.
Previously, Anita was an experiential educator and Montessori instructor. A trained librarian, she enjoys assigning supplemental material to her students to help them improve on reading comprehension. To this end, she runs elleSAT’s newsletter. She is pursuing her JD at the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.

Van Tran, 175, $120/hr
Perfect LG Scorer (December 2022)
Van has over 3500 hours of tutoring experience and was rated a top 10% Wyzant tutor in 2020. She has worked exclusively as a test prep tutor since graduating from Stanford University with her BA and MA in English.
Though Van used to work for test prep companies, she made the jump to independent tutoring because of her passion for educational equity. As someone who grew up in a low-income family, Van hopes to reach even more students by setting her own rates. She offers discounted packages (see “Sample Pricing” page).
