Anita Kinney, 177

Anita raised her score from the low 140s to 177 in just over three months, while working full-time at a leading management consulting company. She was offered admission to two T14 law schools and received over $300,000 in scholarship offers despite an undergraduate GPA below 3.0. As an “extreme splitter” and non-traditional applicant, Anita offers a unique perspective on the law school application process.

Previously, Anita was an experiential educator and Montessori instructor. A trained librarian, she enjoys assigning supplemental material to her students to help them improve on reading comprehension. She is interested in the process of learning and endeavors to help her students understand the neurological changes that intensive LSAT prep creates.

Anita takes a holistic approach, emphasizing a strong personal foundation for study: she believes that your diet, exercise routine, and sleep hygiene are just as important as understanding the LSAT.

Hear from Anita’s students

“Anita truly believes in her students and fights for them. Her excitement and passion for the LSATs is infectious. She is more than just a tutor, she is my cheerleader and true friend. Anita is someone I believe everyone taking the LSAT should have in their life.”

- Shannon, April 2020

“Anita helped me to understand the test’s mechanics in a different way through her close analysis and perspective and gave me new techniques for reviewing my work and moving forward. Her study plans are perfect for students with ADHD or limited time to study. In just three sessions I broke through the infamous “165 plateau” and deep into the 170s.

— Jules, August 2020

“I self-studied to 158 before calling Anita. Invested in two hours of tutoring and broke through to the high 160s after applying her logic game setups and logical reasoning techniques. Called her again after getting a 168 on my second attempt. Third time was the charm - 174! An hour with her is cheaper than a month with 7Sage, and more valuable. She’s on another level.”

- Brett, August 2020

“I am grateful to Anita for showing me techniques that made me look at the test differently. Most tutors regurgitate information from PowerScore or Manhattan Prep, but Anita analyzes your specific weaknesses and targets them with unconventional strategies. I raised my score from a 168 to a 175 in just one session.”

Pricing

Anita believes that LSAT tutoring is most valuable for students who are close to achieving their desired score. She founded elleSAT so that students could maximize their time by studying one-on-one with tutors who charge the same hourly rates that LSAT prep companies charge for group courses. Her commitment to this vision means that she encourages beginning students to study with more affordable tutors. By charging higher rates to advanced students, Anita is able to devote her time to scaling elleSAT and developing courses to further the company’s mission of providing affordable resources to students.

Because Anita only works with students who can maximally benefit from her services, her students routinely progress from the 160s to the 170s within just a few sessions.
