News from elleSAT -

Hi friends, lots of news from elleSAT that we’re excited to share with you, but first:

Your regularly scheduled reading comp help -

Last month, I finally figured out the secret to “the author is most likely to agree with” questions. Read my reading comp advice for advanced students here.

More LSAT advice -

We’re hosting Kerry’s Dear Abby-style LSAT advice column on our blog. Her first post is about “flaw” questions. Check it out.

Thinking about your personal statement?

We love helping our students with personal statement advice (this is Brad’s true passion!). Many of our tutors offer appointments specifically for this on the Booking page. We’ve been a little busy, so we’ve been referring students to our friends at Non-Traditional Statements - check them out and tell your friends. They sell full packages for the same price as a personal statement edit at 7Sage.

Other news from elleSAT - Prep Plus, new tutors, and more!

In January, we became an official LSAT Content Licensee: we are the first and only woman-of-color owned business to partner with the Law School Admissions Council to serve officially licensed content to our students.

elleSAT tutors can now work with students directly in Prep Plus.

New tutors, fee waivers, and scholarships

With this partnership finalized, we also announced our fee waiver programs: we’ve hired new tutors Brad, Julián, and Rachel to offer $35/hour tutoring to all students receiving LSAC fee waivers. (Check them out!) These three will also be working with scholarship recipients - we’ll be working with the Black Villages Foundation to provide LSAT and personal statement editing to first generation students from the South and West Side of Chicago.

Pricing transparency

Kerry, Van and I have been working to collect data from students, and we’re thrilled to unveil our Pricing page, which paints a picture of what our students spend and how much their score improves with that investment. Finally, we can prove that an investment in private tutoring can be cheaper (and more effective) than prep classes.

Packages

With this pricing information available, we’re happy to finally present a payment portal for discounted packages with Van and Kerry. We’ll be adding other tutors to this page soon! Soon, we hope to offer zero or low-interest financing plans - stay tuned.

Anita is an experienced market researcher with an interest in learning outcomes evaluation. A trained Montessori instructor and librarian, she was frustrated by commercially available logic games instructional material, and founded elleSAT (named for Elle Woods) to address the persistent gender gap in LSAT scores. Her unconventional journey to law school inspired her to grow elleSAT into a hub for independent tutors who share her commitment to diversifying the legal profession. She continues to run the company while pursuing her JD at Northwestern University.
